Reflection (march 21 2012)

Book reflection: For me tuesday with morrie grates lesson has been that "once you learn how to die you learn how to live" For me this quote represents that when you die you have your life figured out, you are in peace with yourself, you have made peace with your demons. Once you have accomplished all of this you will learn how is to live, how to live truly happy and in peace. This quote also can mean that in order to live life to the fullest you have to understand yourself, do what you want to do, work on whatever you want to; specially don't be forced into a career yo don't like.

Self reflection: Something that motivates me is learning about a topic that i can relate to. For example if we studied physics I would be much more motivated if we used as an experiment or example kicking a soccer ball than if we would just read a powerpoint as we normally do. Another example would be to study the roman culture, since I am partly Italian and I have visited Italy plenty of times I would feel motivated on learning about the roman culture. Something that kills my motivation is the abuse of power; when a teacher tells you exactly what to do, how to do it and when to do it; for me that is the maximum motivation killer.
